Analog alarm

allayahassine Posts: 133 Rating: (0)	Hello, I have a REAL variable in the Symbol Table of my S7 project indicating a temperature, this temperature has two limit values: low and high. Now in WinCC flexible, if i create 2 analog alarms, how can i specify if the limit value of each alarm is the max or the min ? thanks!!

Now in WinCC flexible, if i create 2 analog alarms, how can i specify if the limit value of each alarm is the max or the min ? thanks!! hello, you can do that in the PLC program itself using comparator.. ie if the real variable value goes above the set point, generate one alarm as high alarm and if it goes beyond a low set point, generate another alarm as low alarm. Now you can use these alarm bits in wincc flexible to generate alarms.

allayahassine Posts: 133 Rating: (0)	i created the comparator networks in SIMATIC MANAGER and the output is boolean (declared in symbol table), the problem now is the analog alarm editor doesn't accept boolean variables.

S7 AUTOMAN Posts: 515 Rating: (56)	allayahassine i created the comparator networks in SIMATIC MANAGER and the output is boolean (declared in symbol table), the problem now is the analog alarm editor doesn't accept boolean variables. hello, use DB addresses as the boolean alarm bits(say DB10.DBX2.0 for Low alarm and DB10.DBX2.1 for High alarm ).. now in the wincc flexible create a integer tag with the address DB10.DBW2 and use this as your alarm tag with the "trigger bit" selection accordingly (trigger bit 0 for Low alarm and 1 for High alarm)
