Chemical Compatibility

PILearner Posts: 80 Rating: (1)	Is there any special Chemical Compatibility Chart for Flow and Level Instruments? e.g., as ultrasonic can't work on vaporous / changing mediums like petrol etc. so is there any particular chart that tells us that a particular technology is more suitable for a certain chemical e.g methanol or formalin, diesel, furnace oil .

But I frequently fax or email people compatability charts from my collection so that they have something "as a reference". I have saved every chemical compatability chart from every source I've stumbled on because they all vary in the temperature ranges and concentrations that are covered. I even collect the manufacturers' spec, data and compatability data sheets for the gasket/seal and wetted materials, like Kynar (PVDF). We've even bought the Compass corrosion and elastomer compatability guides for the office. I envy you youngsters - it's so easy to Google Chemical compatability and get so much at your figure tips. It wasn't like that 20 years ago.
