differential input voltage 6sn1123 and 6sn1118

loonvf Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I am really stuck while repairing a machine and I hope to get some help here. Allthough I read the 611a_iaa startup guide, I cannot find much information on the differential input for "speed setpoint 1 differential input"(speed & direction) Thisdifferential inputis atpin 14 and 56 of the6SN1118-0AA11-0AA1. From the document I see it needs a differential input voltage between +10V and -10V but what is the reference ground for these pins? And how should I generate such differential signal? On page 7-43 (VS section) I see the Power-on diagram which refers to a "battery box". What is a battery box and where can I get one? I hope you experts out there can help me.

Marcjan Diamond Member Joined: 4/22/2010 Last visit: 3/31/2025 Posts: 5697 Rating: (716)	Hello, I think you should have a look at this manual: SIMODRIVE 611 digital Drive Converters In chapter 10 you can see that pin 56 and pin 14 are analog input 1 Because it's a bipolair input there is no reference 0 to + 10V is speed in direction forward, 0 to -10V is speed in direction backward. +- 10 volt signals usualy are generated by analog card in PLC. Hi, Please findattached the details.... Terminal 56 & 14 are analog setpoint signals. If you test in open loop then you may have to use battery of 1.5V between terminal 56 & 14.
