sapna navre Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts We have S7 300 PLC CPU 315-2 PN/DP in lab. We havewritten a program using ladder diagram for S7 300 PLC. We have declared aDB as retentive. Now we have some questions regarding thememoryretentivity of CPU 1.How CPU manages the retentive data, where it stores the retentive data? 2.How long the data will be retained, when the PLC will be power off? Please help .

I suggest you to search forum before posting next time, as this question was covered hundred of times Checkthis linkto answer all your questions about retentive properties. Generally, all data marked as retentive will be stored unlimited time, as it is stored on MMC.

Retentive data in system memory and retentive data in main memory is a part of MMC load memory or a separate retentive memory area is there on CPU for storing system data and data declared to be retentive in main memory?" please help
