Replace s7-300 with S7-1200

fsarta Posts: 10 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, I have a project for a PLC s7-314 with CP 342-5 profibus module (Master) for communicate with a temperature controller Regloplas (Slave), now the same Slave must communicate with a S7-1214C with CM 1243-5, but the project is in AWL (AWL not supported for S7-1200), how can I translate it?

Hi. I do not know if it is a wise thing to publish such a program in "public". I assume that this is a smaller version of the full program. Are you the author of the original? What you are looking for is a way to convert the STL coding into SCL or LAD. You might find that rewriting into SCL should not be too difficult. Alternatively you can break down the long STL networks into smaller networks. As example.. Copy Lines 1 / 2 / 3 of Network 2 from FB10. Place the code into a new network. Right click on FB10 name and ask 'Switch program language" and select LAD. You can repeat the process, breaking the long STL networks up into networks that can be converted. The next issue you are going to be faced with is the absolute DB addressing. This might need an answer too. I do hope it was helpful.. or at least get this thread on the roll. w

You can not translate AWL (STL)to S7-1200. You may use SCL or change to FBD/LAD.
