S7-1200 comunication with Logo 0BA7

Hest Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Hello I am trying to establish communication between a PLC CPU 1215C and a LOGO!0BA7, but I'm having some problems. In the LOGO display under Diagnostic and Error info I get the message: Network erro I have connected the PLC, LOGO!, HMI and my PC togheter with a Siemens PLC Ethernet Switch (6GK5005-0BA00-1AB2). IP: -PLC: 192.168.0.1 -HMI: 192.168.0.2 -LOGO: 192.168.0.11 -PC: 192.168.0.25 From the PC I can ping and program the PLC, HMI and LOGO, but the LOGO do not read the digital input signal I am trying to send. Other information: Totaly Intergrated Automation Portal: Versjon V12 SP1 Step 7 Basic Versjon 12 SP1 WinCC Basic Versjon V12 SP1 LOGO!Soft Comfort V7.1.5 Any ideas to what can be wrong? Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, when you try to write to Inputs of LOGO! then this will not work! When nothging is connected, then the Input is "0" otherwise it is "1". LOGO! will always overwrite. Use Vx.y instead of Ix and in LSC use digital Networ Input to use the information in your LOGO!. Hope this helsp

I understand that LSC stands for LOGO!Soft Comfort, but this is my first time using the LSC and therefore I'm not sure what you mean when you say: "Use Vx.y instead of Ix and in LSC use digital Networ Input to use the information in your LOGO!." In my LSC program I have used a Network Input with the address VB0.0 and not a digiatal input and I have created an Ethernet connection which read from the PLCs DB3.DBB0 and send to Local Address VB0. In my first post you can see the setup in the attached picture. Is there any way to find out more about the Network error message I get in the LOGO! display? Best regards Hest

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, this looks not bad. your adr. DB3DBB0 --> VB0 means when you control a bit in the Simatic in DB3.DBB0, then each bit will effect VB0 in LOGO! 1-by-1. When you set the bit 0 in Simatic, then a network input in LOGO! with adress V0.0 will have the same state. Open a Dos-Promt on you PC and enter: ping 192.168.0.11 and next time ping 192.168.0.1 For both all 4 datapacks should be ok. Hope this helps

I didn't find the solution, but I decided to try to "Change device" under Device configuration. I uploaded the same PLC configuration (1215C DC/DC/RLY) and I just magically worked
