If they are serial (RTU) slaves on RS-485, you need 3x CP 341 with RS485 interface (6ES7341-1CH02-0AE0) and 3x Loadable driver, masterfor Modbus RTU If they are Modbus/TCP servers, then the information in the posts above can apply. I am wondering how can I specify the SlaveID in the Modbus Library provided for the integrated PN port. I thought that it is standard to be able to specify the SlaveID in Modbus/TCP. I went through the manuals and examples and all I can find is the IP address of the Remote Station along with the port! there is no field for specifying the SlaveID. does it assume that the SlaveID is always 1??!! if I can change this value then I can communicate to a large bunch of Modbus serial slaves via a simple Modbus gateway such as TSXETG100.
