Type Conflict for TCON

andrew_pj Posts: 30 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I use ET200S IMI 151-8 PN/DP CPU and TIA Portal V11. Currently I develop PLC program for communicating with other PLC using Modbus TCP/IP. I got the following error during compilation: TCP_COMM(FB103) Type conflict for TCON. Library version conflict The know-how protected block cannot be compiled. Please advise if anyone know about this. Thank you. Best regards, Andrew

Pittiplatsch Posts: 1368 Rating: (126)	Hello, as i know, only S7-1200 and S7-1500 have "free" MODBUS blocks. For S7-300/400 and ET200S PLC you need special drivers. Have a look here http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/22660304

Basically I downloadModbus/TCP PN CPU V2.6from the following link: https://www.industry.siemens.com/services/global/en/IT4Industry/products/simatic_add_ons/s7_open_modbus_tcp/Pages/downloads.aspx After integrating my project with the codes from the sample project, I got an error that I previously described. Please refer to attached picture for the components that I actually import from the sample project. Also, I wonder if this approach requires additional cost for the license key as per the manual. Pittiplatsch Posts: 1368 Rating: (126)	Hello, for the MODBUS blocs, you need the following T-blocks TSEND V2.1 TRCV V2.2 TCON V2.4 TDISCON V2.1 So...look in your project, which version you use. And btw: the blocks are for STEP 7 V5.5. So perhaps, they are not working 1:1in TIA V11... But just look at the T-Blocs Versions, TIA offers...
