Text list for S7 System Errors

nandgate Posts: 319 Rating: (9)	Hello All, I want to display Diagnostic buffer messages in my HMI application. For reading the diagnostic buffer values i am using SFC 51 (it is generating Hexadecimal values). Is there any text list library available for WinCC Flexible which can convert this hexadecimal values to Message text ?? Sorry for my bad english. Thanks and regards, nandgate.

Thanks and regards, nandgate. Hello nandgate, I guess there is not really a standard solution for what you want. As far as I know it is only possible with TIA V13 and CPU 1200/1500 to read diagnostic buffer. In WinCC flexxible you can only create a textlist from documentation, which you can then use as you want. But of course its a lot of work, as there is no prepared list. Another option might be for you to use system error messages. In WinCC flexxible select menu Extras->Settings. There select workbench -> settings for project window. Select "show all entries" and click OK. You will then find in your project window in messages: system messages. This is actually a textlist similar to what you want, but of course not a readout of diagnostic buffer. Hope I could help you regards
