alexglasgow Posts: 6 Rating: (0)	Hi, In my PCS 7 project I have opted to use the APL wherever possible. At times I'm finding this can be a good decision but at other times I run into problems I did not expect. My current issue is some of the inputs to my system are actually from a separate package which has it's own small S7-300 that is not part of the wider PCS 7 project. The supplier of this package is sending to me a couple of DBs for these status signals. Most of these signals are either device status, e.g. low flow, or alarms. I am adding the digital inputs to my system but I have just found I cannot link the booleans from the DB to the MonDiL or MonDiS blocks. I think there may be a similar issue with the Analogues. I am wanting to use the standard interfaces to display information to the operator to keep it consistant no matter if it is a local IO or one from a separate package. I noticed that the IN paramter is a structure now and not a Boolean. Is it possible to link the APL blocks to DBs? Thanks.

This should do the trick. Have a think about it, if you like it try it. Cheers
