Profibus Slave Error

Karl84 Posts: 39 Rating: (0)	Hello, CPU - 1212C firmware 4.0, TiA Portal V13, Comms module - CM1243-5 When I unplug my Profibus cable to simulate a comms failure, the CPU has a flashing error LED but remains in the RUN mode, this is all fine. But when I stick code into the OB error blocks that I felt would to relate to the error I get nothing back (using global variables). My question(s) I guess is: What are the relevant OB's I need to use? Does the OB only get called once or is it called continuously while the fault remains? Is there any other way I can monitor the fault via:Instructions - Extended Instructions - Diagnostics - Device States? Cheers

jklm Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, In my opnion the interrupt OB "rack or station failure" should be called. With the function in annex you should be able to get more info. See attached screenshot. I think with the 1200 same thing (maybe some 1200 expert can confirm this) what you need to do is to move your error information from the error OB to the main program, that means load and transfer (move) the data to a DB or M-area.
