Positioning function block

ANO*20 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi Is there a function block for positioning control with analog output, pulse encoder input, and ability to control Jerk and maximum speed (s-curve, s-ramp etc). The output controls speed of DC motor positioning a trolley, but the controller of the DC motor have no intelligence for creating ramps. Any help is appreciated. Regards Johannes

miami Platinum Member Joined: 8/31/2005 Last visit: 12/16/2025 Posts: 2198 Rating: (331)	Positiong you can do itwith any S7-1500 CPU (Just add a technology object positioning axis, use jerk limits) or a S7-300 T-CPU (use jerk limits, but maybe this is oversized for justone positioning axis;needs STEP 7 V5 and S7-Technology for programming) You may use a IM174 to connect your drive via PROFIBUS or, if you use a S7-1550, a 1COUNT, TM COUNT or TM Pos Input and any AO module.
