Compatibility Problem after downgrade from S5 100U to 95U

MichaelR86 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello Everyone, Its my first time contacting Experts via forum. Actualy we have entire factory using all Siemens PLC's, but we still have the old ones S5 that never break Last week, one of em burned, and we had to replace to one we had on spare parts, but this one spare its a 95U. The main problem its, after upload the program (the one we was using on 100U) to the PLC (95U), if he go to STOP, we cant make it RUN again, we have to clear memory, set to RUN, and Download again to PLC the program. I also tested with a second 95U, the problem its on PROGRAM. If i clear memory, i can make it STOP and RUN without problem, but if i use the program that was being used on 100u, and download to 95U, we cannot stop him, or if power down, he go to stop and one of our technician, have to go and start the proceedment again.. Clear Memory, Set RUN, upload program. Please, someone can give me a hand? Why is it happening? Regards from Brazil. Thanks. Michael Rodrigues.

Did you check the ISTACK/BSTACK to see why the PLC stoped. 2.) Did you adapt / change the program from the 100U to suit the 95U first?? , You can not upload a PLC Program from a 100U Processor and run it in a 95U. You have to check and adapt the I/O and aslo some of the Function Blocks. If you upload your program we may be able to give some advise. Regards / m.f.g

The IO ports seems to be same, and also the machinne its working. I'll take a print of ISTACK, and also the program to provide more info. Thanks you for now. I back with more info. Regards. I did exactly what sps-concept said, DB1 was the main and unique error. After remove DB1, the PLC started to restart, and back to run normaly. Thank you very much. I really apreciate the help.
