Hello Terretck What you are planning is perfectly in order. You can connect the new rack to the IM151-8 on Profinet. You will need to also insert a PM ( Power Module ) between the IM and the I/O Modules ( Just as in your main rack ) You will however have to define it in the hardware configuration and download the same to the CPU. Hope this helps Cheers Navnag |

Hello Terretck This is nothing to be afraid of. Just a simple procedure to be followed. All you need is STEP-7 package and the the Original PLC STEP7 Program ( Can be Uploaded from the existing system ). You will need this anyway to add the new I/Os in your logic. Just open the hardware and Add the new rack on PROFINET. You can use the Online Help and the Manuals installed automatically with STEP7 ( Under the TAB "Documentation" ). Download the modified Configuration to the CPU. ( CPU Will go to "STOP" once when hardware is downloaded. Good Luck Cheers Navnag |
