Hello everybody,

after a migration from STEP7 to TIA I've noticed some errors due to the Type Check of Addresses, i didn't manage to remove this control (I remember in the old Step7,in "Customize" there was an option).

Sometimes i need for example to use CMP_I with byte and i cannot.

How i can remove this control?

Setting IEC check for new blocks

To set the IEC check for all new blocks in the project, proceed as follows:

1. Select the "Settings" command in the "Options" menu.

   The "Settings" window is displayed in the work area.

2. Select the "PLC programming > General" group in the area navigation.
3. Select or clear the "IEC check" check box in the "Default settings for new blocks" group.

   The IEC check is enabled or disabled for all new blocks in the program.

Setting IEC check for a block

To set the IEC check for a block, proceed as follows:

1. Open the block.
2. Open the "Properties" tab in the inspector window.
3. Select the "Attributes" group in the area navigation.
4. Select or clear the "IEC check" check box.

   The IEC check is enabled or disabled for this block. The setting is stored together with the project.

I think it's what I need, but even if I've not checked "IEC Control" I've still the error during compilation.

For example i made a division between 2 Dint and I want to move the result directly in a word, but I annot.

Do you know why?
