uploading programmes from the PC-->Logo! 8 24RCE problem..

Flor99 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello, I recently had the Logo! OBA8 24RCE purchased with the necessary software soft comfort V8. I already had experience with the Logo OBA7. But what I do not understand is how to connect my Macbook to the Logo! OBA8 24rce works. I entered all the correct IP addresses in the software but my macbook can not detect the logo. I have them connected to the necessary internet cable from the Logo Internet interface to the computer Internet interface, but when I in the soft comfort detect push, I first obtain the icon: Search for bm and then I get: unable to find remote device .Is there might someone who can explain to me how the steps of connecting work. because I do not understand it. thanks, Flor

For the LOGO its standard 192.168.0.2 You can find it on the menu of the LOGO! For the PC you must choise by your self a number 192.16.10.xxx xxx < 125 The PC You must set it manually!! You must also setting the Subnetadress. The must be the same for the LOGO and the PC. It must be: 255.255.255.0 http://w3.siemens.com/mcms/programmable-logic-controller/en/logic-module-logo/application-examples/Pages/Default.aspx#New_20examples_20for_20LOGO__200BA8_20only_20

Change Logo address to 192.168.1.2 or your mac address to 192.168.0.108 (simpler is to change LOGO IP address). So, with netmask 255.255.255.0 you have 254 possible addresses, first three numbers must be same, last must be different for each device (for example 192.168.1.XXX). > For the PC you must choise by your self a number 192.16.10.xxx > xxx < 125 Where comes this requirement, from LOGO? For netmask /24 IP address segment is 1-254 and xxx must be >= 1 and <= 254.

Every adres of a home must be uniek. If there are 2 homes with the same adress and number, the postman dont no where to deliver. The same is with an Ethernet adress. But for LOGO and other equipment thats in the neberhood the adreesse must be almost the same See it as all the adresses must have the same street, but an other (house)number. So you have to set every equipment in the same street, and a different number. You must set al the equipment in the same range. You can !! yes you can, set all in the serie 198.168.1.xxxx or 198.168.0.xxx But NOT your pc in the range of 198.168.1.xxx and the LOGO in the range 198.160.0.xxx The range xxx must by les than 125 for LOGO equipment. There is also a subnet, it always must be 255.255.255.0 For all the equipment
