This is actually my first time programming in STL language as expected im facing some problems i cant figure out why it wont work.

im using a counter and interested in comparing it's current value to a constant for example 300 in this case but it prompts a message "Declaration "output" of actual parameter does not match the declaration "input" of formal parameter", what does it mean and how can i perform this instruction? see below what i've tried.

       L     "IEC_Counter_C20_DB".CV
       L     300
       >=I
       =     "Tag_5"

also can i program with STL and LAD in the same FC,FB,OB? i know it possible in STEP7.

You can program all LAD/STL/FBD within a function or OB in different networks.It is up to you to select.The correct syntax to call SFB1 could be like:

      CALL  CTD , "DB8"
         CD :="Tag_2"
         LD :=
         PV :=
         Q  :=
         CV :=
      L     "DB8".CV
      L     300
      >=I
      =     "Tag_3"

Hi,

Thanks for the answer but as you see in the printscreen i still cannot make that statement(tia.jpg).

also if i use an ET200 CPU i can use both STL and LAD programming but if i configure an S7-1500 i can't its unhighlithed also you can see attachment, new network 15 that i cant change to LAD programming(tia2.jpg).
