i have a problem with capacity of retain memory S1212

  in DB i have a big array ( Array[1..504] of "TypeParameters"),

  it using 99% of retain memory.

Can i use MMC card for increasing the retain memory?

Hi.

Of the S7-1200 PLC family you have the CPU1212.
To be of help I think we need to know answers to some questions:

1. What firmware version of the CPU1212 do you have? (part number)

2. What version of Step7 (TIA Portal) do you have? (V11 / V12 / V13)

3. How full is the user program memory?

4. Related to what is stored in the array, please select the best description.
      
How does the data in the array change when the PLC is in RUN mode? 

(a) Data changes regularly and randomly

(b) Data changes once in a while and randomly

(c) Data changes at regular intervals, incrementally one element at a time 
      and one element changes only once -
      It is a recording.. also known as a data log.

(d) The data stays constant while the PLC is in RUN -   
        A program change is needed to change the values.

(e) None of the above (please explain)
