PLC: S7-1200    SOFTWARE: Step7 (TIA Portal) V13

Hi there. Today I have a bit of an "academical" question.

Under the Project Tree of the PLC project,
there is an item called "Text lists".

Note this not in the HMI project.
Please see the attached picture for clarification.

What is the function of "Text lists" for the S7-1200?

You can create text messages which will be copied automatically to HMI or Engineering System. It's used with Alarm_S. (I hope I remember the name right)

This was already included in STEP 7 V5.

I have quickly worked through various documentations.
But I can not confirm that ALARM_S type functions are available for the S7-1200.

Perhaps the answer is found indirectly. The function blocks that can interact with PLC Text Lists are listed on the attached page where there is no mention of the S7-1200.

Perhaps  the S7-1200 can't use the PLC's Text Lists.
