Dear All,

Could You explain me the concept of connecting PA devices to a redundant S7-400? As I well understand I can use the redundant IM153-2 connected by profibus, and on the rack I can place up to 5 DP/PA Couplers.

1.I dont have to configure the copulers in HW Config?!

2. In HW Config should I place all the devices on one network segment?

3. What is the number of devices I can connect to each coupler?

In addition toeisenpferdreiter's link. Please, read carefully the basics about Profibus PA chapter in the DP/PA Link manual.

You will find all necessary information regarding Profibus PA network design (e.g. segment length, no. of possible devices per coupler, ...etc. )
