2-Use SFC14/SFC15 to send and receive data.

hi,thank you very much, it helps a lot. So far, I figure it out how to install GSD in to Step7 and do the configuration. However, I do have a few more questions.First, where I can get the GSD file of Eycon20, I tried Eurotherm site but I fail to find it. I do find a software called "Profibus GSD Editor" from:  www.eurotherm.com/profibus/, but it does generate GSD file of Eycon 20. Second, what do you mean by "integrate the drive to HW"? Forgive me If i have asked some naive questions.

In the box you do not have a CD with instructions ? usually it comes with GSD file , if it does not have the entire code of your unit ?

as i know from Eurotherm-Communication, they are doing it with Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP. 

If you want to know it for sure, see the manual of Eycon20 or call the Eurotherm Support and ask how to connect and communicate with it. 

If it works with Profibus DP you need a GSD-file to install it in your HW-catalogue
