Hi

Does anybody know if there is a ET200 CPU with a separate MPI port available? I'm currently running a IM151-7 on a Profibus network and whenever I need to go online to monitor the program to fault find, its so slow to update its impossible to find anything. Any ideas would be welcome.

you should use profibus interface from your programming device to CPU.

are you going online with MPI-Adapter?

Thanks for the advice didn't think there was one.

Yeah I've been trying to get online via the profibus interface, which I can, but the monitoring is so slow to update it makes it virtually impossible to view any changes to inputs/outputs. I've been going direct from the back of my Siemens PG (which I think has a MPI adaptor built in).

We've got a few spares lying around in boxes, I think the best option is to change the CPU to a 315-2 DP connected to a basic Profibus IM 151-1 for the ET200 rack
