Communications Diagnostics Error

Hardware: 317F-2PN/DP IM151-3 PN TIA Portal v13 I am receiving a Communications Diagnostics Error on a few of my distributed IO. The distributed IO are a mix of ET200s and Numatics G3 nodes. The error I get is: "Error on Partner" Detail: "No neighbor could be detected" Help: "The port cabling or configuration is inconsistent" I have tried various combinations of Port Connection properties and Port Interconnection - Partner port settings, but nothing seems to change this issue. I am currently set to an Automatic Transmission rate with AutoNegotiation and Partner settings of "Any Partner"

I am currently set to an Automatic Transmission rate with AutoNegotiation and Partner settings of "Any Partner" I hope someone with more experience with type of problem posts, but in the meantime, I can only relate to a problem I had in migration a project from V11 -> V12 -> V13 and along the way, something in the automatic configurations got locked into an unacceptable state. I forwarded my project to Siemens Support via support request link found on these forums. They replied back how to fix the problem for my specific issue which is similar yet not similar enough for me to say with confidence it is how to solve your problem. If you migrated your project from a different version of Step 7 (classic or portal), you may consider creating it from scratch for just the hardware configuration and see if you can get the communications established. If/when you do reconfigure all your distributed/remote I/O and get it communicating, you can copy[from the non-workingproject]the OBs/FBs/FCs, watch/force tables, tags/constants, and anything else that is required to make the working hardware work. If you are building this configuration for the first time, you may consider checking for any V13 updates using the software updater. Please advise.

I created this application from scratch in v13 so i don't think it is the same issue. I will try the updates though. I should note that all my nodes are exhibiting this issue, not just some.

I created this application from scratch in v13 so i don't think it is the same issue. I will try the updates though. I should note that all my nodes are exhibiting this issue, not just some. In portals network and devices pane, could you do a simple screenshot of the devices? Did you drag connections to configure the profinet network layout?

If yes then check that the configured Port interconnections are the same like the physical interconnection. In TIA is a tab Topology , here you can make a online offline comparsion for the topology. Have you set the Name Of Station correctly for all Devices? Regards Christoph
