Hi,

One of our older machine tools (Supfina) has a remote I/O operator interface (3SB4003-1AD60-1) that I believe was specially made for Supfina by Siemens when they were building these machines. There are 3 input and 3 output bytes available on the old interface.

We've been having trouble with it for some time with the bus dropping in and out but this week it has completely fried itself and blown most of the ICs.

It's been sent out to an electronics repair company but in the likely event that they can't repair it, I'll be looking to replace it with something else. Most likely something from the ET200 range.

Could you please advise on the best replacement interface module for us?

Normally there is a product-responsible person for each Siemens-product. Ask your Siemens distributor what to do to change the device. He normally get in contact with the product-responsible person. I´m sure they have a solution for you.

We actually found that our Kadia machines use the same operator interface so it was simply a case of changing the button panel over.
