I have a CPU315-2DP with CP342-5 (6GK7-342-5DA02-0XE0)as a Master would like to get some data(Q-address) from a s7-200 EM277 profibus-DP.
Questions:
1. Do I have todo any modification on the S7-200?

2. I understand that I have to use FC1 DP_SEND and FC2 DP_RECV when the CP342-5 configured as master, but in my case, I just want to recieve data from EM277, do I still have to use FC1 DP_SEND?

I went to the sitein malaysia last few days. And I failed to link up theS7-200 with my Master CPU. I don't have the right toexcess tothe S7-200 PLC, is there any other configuration need to be done on it? The offset address of V-memory in S7-200 has set to 4000, and each unit have total of 40 bytes (VW0 to VW39)sending to the Master.

Due to the maximun lengthfor DP Masteris 2160 bytes for 1 CP342-5, I cant use the default hardware config of <32 word In / 32 word Out> module to add in 42 units. The maximun units I can add are 33 units(33 x 64bytes = 2112 bytes). Therefore, I modified the CP342-5's GSD file to added in 1 more selection which is <20 word In / 20 word Out>, so that I am able to add in all units with total of 1680bytes. I modified it thru NotePad, will this work? Because next week I will go there again, only thenI can test out.

On Master, I had done the DP-RECV parameters as below:

CPLADDR:=W#16#0110
RECV:=P#DB1.dbx0.0 byte 1680
NDR:=M 70.0
ERROR:=M 70.1
STATUS:=MW 71
DPSTATUS:=MB73

1. The address and length we enter in RECV is the address area which we going to store the data or is the address area we calling the data from?

2. If it is the address we going to store the data, how's the sequence of data recieve? Let say the 42 slaves have the profibus ID from 10 to 51, would the ID 10 storeat first 40 bytes and the ID 51 in last 40 bytes?
