dsout Posts: 66 Rating: (5)	In PLCSIM V13 you must create a simulation project in addition to creating the STEP7 project. The simulation project must use the correct CPU type (a 1200 sim project won't work with a 1500 program.) If you click the toolbar button "start simulaion" then this is handled for you. "Start simulation" is near the download button on the tool bar.

dsout Posts: 66 Rating: (5)	Did you change STEP7/TIA Portal to "run as administrator"? If you did this, it could be why you can't connect to PLCSIM. Creating a new Windows User Account would "fix" this because it would not start STEP7 "as administrator".
