First, insert the used CB of Micromater in HW-Konfig by using the GSD - File.

You are working with S7 classic or TIA?

With classic, you may to install Drive-ES Software first.

With TIA, you may install Startdrive Software first.

Hello 6930,

before you can use any device on profibus, you first have to insert it in HW-configuration. Most of the Siemens devices you will find in HW-catalogue. Each device is defined by a so called GSD-file. When you select a device from HW-catalogue you actually integrate the corresponding GSD-file in your project.

If your device comes from an  external supplier, you will have to ask that supplier for the GSD file of your device (or mostly these are published on suppliers website) and import that GSD-file in your HW-config, before you can select from HW-catalogue.

When you are finnished with your HW-configuration, then compile and download it to your CPU.

I m using classic and i already install drive monitor  software.with the help of drive monitor i run micromaster 420 drive using uss protocol.but how can i interface drive monitor and simatic manager as well as which parameters are needed to configure?

To run micromaster via profibus you have to insert it in Hardware configuration, have you already did?

Open Hardware configuration and then in the tree on the right select Profibus then Simovert then MICROMASTER 4 and then MICROMASTER 420 "6SE6400-1PB00-0AA0
