I am trying to setup a configuration of two s7-1200 CPUs with one configured as remote I/O. From the hardware config properties the addressing is setup for the transfer I/O. In the plc fc block I map my addresses setup from the remote I/O CPU. I know the connection is setup due to the error LED flashes when the CPUs lose connection. But from the FC I do not receive the data being transferred from the remote CPU. Any info would be appreciated.

Have a look at SIMATIC PROFINET PROFINET with STEP 7 V13 under chapter "5.2.6 Program examples".

Based on S7 1200 as i Device , newer S7-1200's should do it.

The configuration is done fully in the hardware configuration and network setup of the two partner PLCs. Virtual I/O on master side can be linked to actual I/O on the slave side. No program is required to make it work.

Be warned.. the network traffic is very high.
