hi everybody,

why this forum is very very slow, if some body posts ; they get reply after number of days. even i feel really awkward when i seen my post after 12 to 15 times in a day and got 0 reply. what is the way to get reply very soon. is there about friend following and to make number of friends ???

please tell me how should i post.

 Even in some cases no reply at all. But really it depends of the case and the problem is.

 The way is to get replay immediately is to have a person sitting nearby to you.

Thank you for raising your question!

I speak for myself but I think it applies for most of us. In this forum we help each other on the "best effort" basis. We often check the forum for new question whenever make a brake at work but we do not have big time window to answer.

So if you post a question, you likely to get quick response to a short, clear query.  So please make sure that the question you post is a short summary of the problem.

I checked on your posts and, in general, you have had timely responses.  If I can make a comment, your posts are very general and you are obviously a beginner.  If I can make a suggestion, it would be to read some manuals, and do some tutorials so that you know first hand and not wait for someone to solve your problem for you.

I think that none of us in this forum is salaried by SIEMENS also because it is a free forum (no fee), so when a person has a little time will answer.

Also some time people don't know the answer to the question(many reasons for that: one already highlighted-> question is not clear, too long, not specific etc.).

in that case there is no point of answering that "I don't know the solution" I guess.

sometimes the question is so long and so many scenarios are explained, that it needs a lot of time to go through it, also replicate on the machine before posting anything in surety.

not related to this but I have one more point: many times we answer the question, but there is no feedback from the user who posted the question, if the solution was helpful or not? is the problem solved or not!!

surely the users who answer by spending their time, but don't get a feedback, FEEL BAD too

this is the forum and not the technical support hotline. the very most of us don´t get paid for posting here. but everyone tries to help as good as he can. 

But to get help very quickly you need to give us all neccessary information about it. for you it is easy to understand what your problem is. We are dependent of the information you are giving us.

And some problems maybe are to difficult to get it solved with by forum.

If you are learning how to program a PLC for the first time, this forum is not the best facility for that purpose.  The majority of users ask questions from (usually) a more experienced perspective ranging from what is the right size PLC to what algorithm will work fast on a specific PLC platform and beyond.

Sometimes a highly motivated novice PLC programmer will read up on various forum threads and the online help and the internet in general and find their answers without resorting to a forum post.  Sometimes though after all that, there is some nudge they need in order to complete a specific task.

Those types problems I see these forums excel.
