Runtime Version issue

RajSHJ Posts: 41 Rating: (1)	Dear all I am working on WinCC HMI (PC) system wehre I am facing the following problem: I have made the project with the new WinCCFlexible 2007 advanced and madethe Runtime file. While compiling it said the number of tags usedwas 102. But while running on RT a pop message comes up saying that "Licence key needed, too many power tags has been configured...." (452 tags or so).The system is running on a Runtime version WinCCFlexible 2005 RT(128)licence. Is it a version issue? Please help Regards

The Runtime version should be the same as engineering version Best regards, Wizard

Here you can find information: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26169252 You can with WinCC flexible 2007 save you project as an WinCC flexible 2005 project. But you can't compile. Therefore you need WinCC flexible 2005 Advanced. Best regards, Wizard

RajSHJ Posts: 41 Rating: (1)	Dear Wizard Thank you for the reply To clarify the issue let me explain some more I have created the project in WinnCC Flex Advanced 2007 and Trnsfered it into WinCC RT 2007. It is not running in WinCCRT 2005. Then I installed WinCCRT2007 which is available with the EngineeringCD. The project runs well.The licence available is the one for WinCC RT 2005 (128Tags). 1) When I compile the project, it says the number of power tags used as 105 (well within the allowed 128 tags) 2) When it runs under the above licence, a message appears intermittantly saying that "Too many power tags has beenconfigured : 500 powertags. There is button "Noted",which closes the message box for someminutes until it appear again Canyouexplain me more about this? Best Regards RajSHJ

ZAK Gold Member Joined: 5/8/2006 Last visit: 10/23/2025 Posts: 1085 Rating: (78)	Hi, you can see the amount of the power tags if you move your mouse to the "Device_1..." in the project tree of WinCC flexible ES andopen the context menu withthe right mouse button. In the context menu you have to open thedialog "properties". In generals you can see the number of used power tags. If you have less power tags then 128 power tags you should delete the temporary file ("Options > Detele Temporary Files...") of WinCC flexible.After that you have to compile your project again. Bye
