Hello All,

I have control system configuration as attached. I want to establish following communication.

1. CP443-1 to Client DCS, via MODBUS TCP/IP. Part No. 2XV9450-1MB11

2. CP443-1 to WinCC Operating Station Via S7-Redconnect.

Both communication will be via scalance.

Can above communication work together as per attached architecture?

Dear Jenish,

from Modbus/TCP (2XV9450-1MB11) point of view, there is nothing against it, to create this communication.

Only point I see, is performance of Modbus protocol. I don't know how many values (measuringpoints) you want to transmit between S7-414 and DCS? Keep in mind that only 125 registers (words) can transmitted with 1 modbus telegram. So you may need lots of telegrams, which leads to performance issues.

Maybe another communication type/ protocol between S7-400 H and the DCS is more suitable?!
