Hello,

We have a WinCC flex project where tag in tag addressing is used.

ex: DB [index].DBX19.2, where index is either an internal tag or a tag red from the PLC

The HMI cant read out those types of tags from the PLC and if for example the tag is linked to an IO field the field displays ### or if the tag is linked to a graphic list it shows the default value; but when i simulate the HMI with RT and with the real PLC in my network everything works fine. (see attachment)

What we already tried and figured out:

-change the HMI, no result

-FW update, no result

-on another HMI (same tipe, KTP600 basic color) we have a project with the same structure as this one, with indirect andressing, and the tag reading works just fine

- i linked   DB [index].DBX19.2 (hearth beat tag) to an IO field (index= internal tag with 201 basic value) and on the HMI it shows ###, but when i replace [index] with it's constant value, 201, the IO field shows the correct values 0 or 1; i monitored the "index" tag and it is indeed 201 in the HMI

Any suggestions?

I sounds like an known Problem with WinCC flexible 2008 Sp3 without Updates.

Basic Panels 1st Generation have in that Version Problems with Adress Multiplexed Tags.

Please install the latest Update to WinCC flexible 2008 SP3:

Then do a manual OS Update to the Panel because there is a new OS Image in the Update.

Then transfer the Project agaion and the Test should be poitive.

I had the same issue (and a lot of Customers too)
