Lav18 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello i am using Tia portal V11 . I want to create a new project with a s1200 plc but the cpu 1214c ( 6ES7 214-1HG31-0XB0 ) type is not in the list. How can i get the right list with CPUs i can go online but can not download the program from the PLC because the CPUs are not equal. Do i have to update to V12 or V13 to get the latest CPUs Gr Ron

If you will use a PLC with New FW V4 then you must use TIA V13 SP1. Newer PLC Types are not supported in older TIA Versions. Regards Christoph

Lav18 Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	I have updated to V12 and now i can choose the right CPU in the list. Problem now is when i want to download program from device to PC it says program is made with V11. I have V11 with sp2.000- 2.006 update , but still not the right type of CPU. How many sp are the for V11? Gr Ron

Latest Version is V11 SP2 Update 5 https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/58112582 You can also install the latest HSP for V11: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/ww/en/view/72341852 But! Why you don't answer the questions ? It is hard to help the people with problems if they don't answer to the questions! Regards Christoph

Christoph, Ron did answer your question,,,, by editing his 1st post. Ron... please be a pal and don't do that again. If you post new information in a new post then we can see the update clearly. As our expert suggested - you need to do load the hardware service pack (HSP). The firmware V3.0 was made available to TIA11 in this way. But my friend.... listen to the warning already given. Firmware 4.0 can only be handled by TIA13. Updating to TIA Portal V13 SP1 is needed for firmware 4.1. ALTERNATIVE.. you have to insist to Siemens they supply you with older CPUs. TIP - firmware 4 is well worth it. w
