But the download will fail 5 times, when it finally completes, the file is corrupt and you have to try again. However, after trying for a day, you end up looking up the update online and download it directly... Right? Don't get me wrong, I am a Siemens groupie, but sometimes they don't make it easy on me!

In 2003 we had forums that were really better than these :D .. you do mean 2013 ..right? :-P

OK, but it is not SO easy! After failure of update Manager you first have to clean up your System by some strange tools that are not released by Siemens. You have to spend plenty hours of reading forum and rename DLLs. Lose licenses as well, searching COL and find out that the license - Hotline - phone-nr. is not valid any more. Ask in forum what can i do now... The download, of course, is EXPORT LIMITED! So you first have to fill out some papers and affidavits and send them to Siemens. After 2 weeks, download perhaps is possible but obsolete, of course. last but not least: The bugs now are depending from season as you can see here. Siemenssoftware now are released with "September Bug"? There are only 12 Month, that is not enough for all bugs, I am afraid.
