Historical Data Storage in MP277 ?

samkcr Bronze Member Joined: 3/24/2009 Last visit: 8/7/2023 Posts: 406 Rating: (3)	Hi, I have to storehistorical datas in MP277 and i have to view them Trends,Alarms& Events etc... But i didn't consider any Memory Cards in Panel.What should i watch out before doing this? Any limitation is there ?

The internal memory can`t be used for the logging (would reduce the lifetime of the panel). This faq is also intersting for you in this case i think: Which external storage media can you use with the SIMATIC panels and which memory card interfaces do they have?

Hellosamkcr, I think you have to use an external storage memory card. Note: Cyclic write access isnotpermissible for the internal flash memory, because this reduces the service life of the flash memory and therefore the service life of the operator panel. For the sake of the service life of the device and better performance you should as far as possible use external memory cards for storing data records and for archives Which external storage locations are available on the various operator panels (WinCC flexible/ProTool) for archiving data?
