Duccio Bronze Member Joined: 12/7/2011 Last visit: 9/3/2025 Posts: 386 Rating: (10)	Hi to all, I have a WinCC flexble 2008 sp3 multilanguage project, but i'm facing with a prbloem for the second language, i mean: 1) In a "Project text" i perform the text export for both language, the exported file is an csv file, and the problem is that when i try to import in excel for change the text, and i save again in a csv, i loose the original format and i'm not able to import again. is there some special procedure for do it? 2) in the run time when i change from english to russian, i loose the text's properties for all texts. Is there any procedure for alligne all text's properties? Regards Duccio.

When you open the csv-file, you can modify it and then just save it (e.g. with the button in the menu). The alignment you have to make for each language (most times it does not make sense to have the same alignment, because the texts have different lengths). Best regards, Frink

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 9/8/2025 Posts: 16356 Rating: (1932)	Hello Duccio here is a part of the WinCC flexible Help System to this behaviour: ----------------- Do not open the export file by double-clicking it in Windows Explorer because this causes the file to be loaded incorrectly in MS Excel and prevents the file from being imported back into WinCC flexible afterwards. Open MS Excel. Select the "Open" command on the "File" menu. The "Open" dialog is displayed. Select "Text files" (.prn; .txt; csv)" from the "File type" list. Select the storage location for the export file. Select the export file and click "Open." The file is loaded in Excel. Fill in the blank cells with the translation in the proper language. Save the file in .csv format again using the "File" > "Save as" command. Notice When the file is reimported, the texts are reassigned to the point of use by means of the file structure and control information contained in the first four lines of the .csv file. Note the following: Do not make any changes to the file structure. Do not add, remove, or exchange columns. Do not modify the contents in the first column because this column is used as the reference for the source project. Do not modify the contents of the first four rows of the export file. If you have changed the file structure or control information in Excel, close the .csv file without saving it and then reopen the original version for editing. Special features of Asian and Russian project texts Prerequisite for translations into Russian is a PC with Russian Windows 2000 / Windows XP Windows 2000/Windows XP MUI which was switched to Russian language. The Russian characters are displayed incorrectly in the CSV file if you reset the language to German in the Regional and Language Settings dialog of the Control Panel after having completed the translation. However, the original Russian translations are displayed correctly in WinCC flexible once you have imported the CSV file. For translations into Asian languages you need a PC with Asian Windows 2000 / Windows XP Windows 2000/Windows XP MUI which will be set to the corresponding Asian language. Asian MS Excel You only need WinCC flexible with European user interface languages on the engineering station. ------------------- I did it many times in the past so it should work. Bye Murof
