Dear, Expert Could i swap or readdress bertween Dp/Master & Dp/Mpi in case of port failure and i don't have spare!! if yes how i do that in Net Pro Regards, |

Hello, if your cpu is 6ES7316-2AG00-0AB0 as you can see in technical data first interface is only mpi, second interface only profibus. Regards |

Dear, i could interface with MPI through Dp . the PG can communicate via MPI and DP . why can it not swap them ? as PG can do. |

A PG can also communicate with an S7 via Ethernet, but you won't be able to connect your DP Slaves to the PN port, would you? (well, you could via an additional PN/DP gateway but that is a different story). Anyhow, you can not connect DP Slaves to a pure MPI port of your CPU, end of the story (sorry, but it is what it is). |
