I want to use S7-1500 CPU1515-2PN in my system.Can I download program to CPU1515-2PN if memory card isn't inserted to this CPU?

no this is not possible, you need a MemCard for the download.

Yes, Memory Card is necessary.

Hi,

     There is no internal Load memory to store the program in the case of S7 1500, (like s7 1200 and s7 400). Hence it is mandatory to put SMC(simatic memory card) almost in all S7 1500 CPUs.
