Latching of Count Value for FM450-1 with an external Input

We have an application where an FM450-1 is used to count from a 24V encoder, while the counting is running we should receive an input ( rising edge) that stores the count value for comparison. I have seen this entry on the web site http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/6510748but it shows only the FM350-1 that exactly what I would like to implement is there an example to implement this solution to the 450-1.
