qayyum faiz Experienced Member Joined: 7/30/2012 Last visit: 1/16/2025 Posts: 127 Rating: (0)	Dear All, we were planning to purchase Siemens PG M4, but came to know that M4 is discontinued and new M5 is launched What we ordered in M4 was with dual operating system because we also wanted S5 support but currently our local supplier is saying that M5 with S5 support is not launched yet and will be launched soon. does any one here have any information of when is M5 going to be launched with S5 support any tim frame from siemens.....

qayyum faiz Experienced Member Joined: 7/30/2012 Last visit: 1/16/2025 Posts: 127 Rating: (0)	yes i agree with you that normally it will have but as per the letter that i recieved from my siemens local distributor they are not giving any time frame that when it will be available just saying that currently the M5 Doesn't have dual boot system and S5 Eprommer Support... what does it means?? what i understood was that you cannot work with S5 if you don't have dual boot but yes you can with Virtual machines.. my ambiguity is that will this new M5 PG having partnumber 6ES7717-1AA00-0AC0 have port to communicate with S5 or no....

Note: No other Windows 7 PC/notebook in the market, as well as no other Field PG types and versions before (M4 Standard, M4 Premium, M5 Comfort, M5 Advanced) are capable to install/execute STEP 5 in a sandbox!
