Dear colleagues,

I have a problem with WinCC Flexible 2008 SP2 scripting. I have a project with more Visual basic scripts. When I compile project I get the same error for every script: Syntax error in line -1, Column 1 (picture attached).

Also, I noticed that I can not add any more scripts to project. I opened new project and there is the same thing, can not add scripts to project.

Hope that someone knows what could be the problem...

please re-register the vbs.dll and then try the compilation again. Enter the following in the CMD-prompt:

regsvr32 vbscript.dll

I already did it. I get message that registration was successful. But still I can not add any new scripts to project and compile existing scripts...

Maybe I have to reinstall something?

I tried to reset WinCC Flexible as it was described in FAQ. But I have the same error and I can't add new scripts to project. Do you maybe have any other idea?

Dear colleagues,

I got the solution for my problem from Siemens support:

Probably you have to register new the script ocx in windows.
Open the comand prompt as administrator and enter the following command:
regsvr32 "C:\WINDOWS\System32\msscript.ocx"

Afterwards restart the system and test again.

This solution works!
