Hello! I have a question that it is connected with my new step 7 project. I have Simatic s7-400 and many DP slaves and some of them are ET200S DP slaves. If communication with my ET200s fails, I don't have a PLC stop (I have additional OB blocks to fix it). But I want to know a moment when a communication with ET200s fails and to do some job by PLC. Are there some bits to detect this event? For example, may be are there diagnostic blocks that could check every station of DP slave every 1 sec?

the solution is easy.

Why don´t you do this error-handling in the OB that is called when the error occurs?

In the local-data of the OB you will get information about the error, and which station is affected.

This is also what the Diagnostic Package PNIODiag does, which Ste39 already shared.
