Benchev Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Dear Sirs, I would like to connect with my Logo! 0BA8 via Internet and upload new program. Tools>>Transfer>>Access control Connect through: Dinamic DNS URL: .....:10002 When I try and press "Test" it is OK, green lines but then press "OK" appear message for asking password. I am sure not add any password.

wolves and hawks Posts: 531 Rating: (35)	Do you really want to expose your logo to the open internet without any security enabled? Seems a bit dangerous to me. Does the logo web server act differently when on local lan and/or on different network?

Benchev Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Thanks for comment. I have a extra Logo! base with me for testing and it I can access by dinamic DNS with defolt password LOGO. That mean somebody add password to other Logo!. I will solve this problem with visit the place.

wolves and hawks Posts: 531 Rating: (35)	That sounds like someone scaned the web for logos and set the password remotely just for fun. That is why a direct connection is not a good idea in the first place. Use VPN or other security things. Next time someone might use it for "other" things though I have not heard of ddos bot on logos ;-)

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, to enable remote access: Connect to LOGO! and open Tool/transfere/access control. Here you can enable the kind of access (remote, Web-Server, App). For remote programming enable remote access and configure a PW. Without PW you can try LOGO. PRESS: APPY below the section you want to enable. How to test: If you are connected locally, then follow this steps: 1. Press download 2. Select Dynamic DNS as "connect through" 3. As URL enter: IP-Ad. of your LOGO! followed by :8080 like 192.168.0.3:8080 4. Follow the instruction in the dialgos. Connect your LOGO! to your internet router and try the dyn-DNS connection via Internet. I strongly recommend to select a strong PW for the remote access or to use a VPN connection to connect remotely to your LOGO!. In addition you may configure "Port forwarding" in your router from port 8080 to the IP-adr. of your LOGO!. I hope this helps

wolves and hawks Posts: 531 Rating: (35)	I think he knows how to handle all this. He just did not set a password and ran into security issues. Typical manual problem. If one does not know what or where to search, he does not find the needed help in manual. Security warning should be a thing from the past, but ease of use seems to dominated still.
