Hi~friends Thank you for spending time in reading my topic.I am new here and I hope I am coming the right forum.

Let’s go into the subject directly.  

Can amplifier LM285 output high/low electronic level? (This is LM285's datasheet)

Before reading the question,please look at the following picture firstly,.The circuit is belongs to a open loop comparator. The voltage of dot-b in the  resistance--R555 is just for reference. If the voltage of dot-a is lower than dot-b,the amplifier 258 will output high electronic level;otherwise it will output low level.  I would like to know whether it could be supply electricity by 258 single power? If it can be used,will the flapping occur? Do I need to add a positive feedback?   How do you think about it?
