FM354 strange behavior

peva Posts: 38 Rating: (0)	Hello list, we have following problem: our machine uses servo, controlled by FM354. When the machine is switched off for longer time (e.g. a week), we usually have problems with said FM354, it refuses to come on. Somtimes it's enough to go back to STOP and RUN again, but sometimes it's just impossible to start it... The error message is following: Module not available (I/O access error or parameter assignment error) Preset/Actual mismatch: (inserted and configured module types are not the same) - Expected type: Positioning module (6ES7 354-1AH01-0AE0) - Current type: Positioning module (Order No. = ???) Have you seen anything like this? Thanks for your help, Petr

Gebhardt Karl Posts: 1502 Rating: (176)	The FM354 assembly is not available as reported! Is it the last assembly in the assembly line? If so, replace the connector. If not, I think, the FM354 is defective. Replacing the assembly for testingcareful here for clarity.

It didn't help. We were forced to change the FM354, but it's already second one exchanged in this way and it's becoming quite expensive... And strange... Regards, Petr

Thus we found that the assembly was broken ! I doubt it is the problem with overheating - as I said above, it appears after the machine is switched off for longer time - so when the problem appears, the FM354 is cold. other causes for the defective assembly could be unlikely: Stepper in a mechanical heaviness should not prepare problems. possible: isolationsfehler the lines or step can destroy the assembly. obvious: longer in higher temperatures schaltschrank. temperatures greater than 40 degrees celsius can destroy assemblies. In cold assembly is then the errors My proposal 1st measure the isolation of cable and schrittmotor 2nd troubleshooting measure the temperature with the maximum storage temperature of the assembly
