wel i have logo8 and LSC V8.1.

I am trying webserver and logo android app.

is there anyway i can see my logo screen on my smartphone through logo app?

has anyone tried it ; would be really glad if someone can help me in this.

i went through this manual.

and i also want to know if i can see the screen of logo on smart phone.

for e.g i have configured some alarms on some inputs ; that is on some particular input the message displayed on logo screen.

and i want that to be updated on smart phone when i open the app to check if there's any alarm or error occured.

hope i'm able to make you understand what i'm looking for.

no i'm not trying dynamic dns or vpn.

i have ip adress of logo , and using webserver,

so going to try that.

As stated earlier, you need access to the IP Address of the module.

So your networking skills must be up to standard there.

So, Phone and LOGO on same subnet.

In Soft Comfort Program go to - Tools>Transfer>Access Control

> Connect to module via its IP address

> Then go to the online settings tab.(normally greyed out when you set I/O names)

> Enable web access and make a password.

> Enable all other features you may want.

the default is off

You will also see lots of other access control permissions

Web Access gives exact copy of the PLC and screen - you actually press the buttons as if you are in front of the unit.

This is the fastest way to get it going, and you can access from any device that can display a web page. For text screens, just remember to enable the Web Server checkbox in each text screen properties block

Getting in from the web, (not on same network) will require all the routing and port forwarding.

Similar to CCTV systems, using DYNDNS or No-IP

I do this for my customers via 3G and a hosting service in my office. 

App access is the LOGO app you download. Lots more work and you must pay for each control you use, but looks better.

does that mean, you cannot view the screen with the android app;

you got to have an ip , and use web browser to access the logo screen on smart phone.

and so that , you dont necessarily need to hav logo app in smart phone for this purpose.

is that so?
