For my final project I need TOF-delayu timers.
But they dont seem to work. I searched all forums but i couldn't find an answer.

The timer counts for 28Ms but it freezes after that time.

Does anyone knows the answer?

The timer works correctly, but your application might not need it to work this way.

Suggestion: Show us a time diagram for what you want to do. Then someone can tell you which instruction you need.

It needs to switch on  /off 2 engines.
What do you mean exactly with this. Does %M101.7 switch motor1 and motor2 on at the same time or is it first motor1 and then motor2. Is %M101.7 only the switch on or does it work like a toggle to switch off.

the stop button
Is that also %M101.7 is it something else, like an input button.

Consider making a numbered list of the sequence of events that takes place. Please be more specific on what of the sequence you have a problem with.

I dont exactly have a time diagram, but I will try to explain.

M101.7 is a button from my HMI.
It needs to switch on  /off 2 engines.
But when the stop button is pressed. the engines need to keep on going for 2 seconds

Focus on the fact that there are two states - running and stopping. The motor runs when either state is active. A TON type timer ensures that the stopping state is held active for only 2sec.

Next notice that the two buttons are normally open type contacts and only the edge trigger is used in the case of the startButton.

The same idea you can be reproduced in LAD.

On the HMI - how does the triggering look like? Make a screenshot and show me which events and which HMI instruction.

Also make sure that %M101.7 does not overlap with something else like %MB101 or %MW100 or %MD100. It should only be used by the HMI button.

The PLC clearing the %M101.7 bit when it was set by the HMI, is also acceptable.

M101.7 is the start for both motors. They work togheter.
To stop the motors I need to press another button on my HMI.

I tried with a normal button (I0.0) and that worked.
So I think the problem is the fact that I use a button (M101.7)  from my HMI.

Can you explain what M102.0 is ?

Are both motors controlled by the same output ?

Which signal is generated by the stop button?

How are your buttons configured in the HMI:
-as pushbuttons, generating a true signal als long as they are pressed?
- as switches, generating a true signal when pressed 1st time and keep generating a true signal until they are pressed a second time ?
