IM 153 Back Connector

ameic Posts: 54 Rating: (1)	Dear Friend, recently We had a bus fault on ET200 connected to CPU 414-4H, After searching we discovered that back connector with part No 195-7HD00-0XA0 is damaged, this connector is connected to other connector with part No: 7HB00-0XA0, and the IM 153 code is 153-2AA02-0XB0 . so the question is : can I replace connector with part no: 195-7HD00-0XA0 with connector : 195-7HD10-0XA0?? ( because the old one is discontinued). Do I have to replace IM153 as well as connector???

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 1/16/2026 Posts: 12481 Rating: (2722)	Hello ameic; Follow this link to find the official sucessor to your defective module: IM 153-2 successor A successor unit can directly replace the original module without change in the program. From the little information you provide it is impossible to say if your I'M 153 is damaged. You could at least test it with only a power supply and see if it powers up. That would be a start; check which LEDS are active. Then try it as a simple ET 200M (non-redundant) to see if it can communicate with a Profibus master. Finally place it in its new active bus module (use the original project configuration) and se if it connects with all modules on the bus. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

ameic Posts: 54 Rating: (1)	thank you for reply I checked the rack with only one IM153 module and without any connection but power, after powering up SF LED activated and BF LED started flashing, I changed IM153 with new one and nothing changed. the problem solved when I replaced back connector 6ES7 195-7HD00-0XA0 . but Siemens offered back connector with part no: 6ES7 195-7HD10 -0XA0 instead of previous. but when I replaced the defected one with offered one, the problem still available! so the question about back connector for me is still unclear! can I directly replace 6ES7 195-7HD00-0XA0 with 6ES7 195-7HD10 -0XA0 ( as Siemens offered for replacement) directly? without replacing IM153-2 module? regards,
