Hi all,

S7400-H system with 4xWinCC standalone Stations (Single Projects) giving an channel diagnostic error 410E. Communication is via TCP/IP. Attached the screenshot for reference.

Problem:

On runtime winCC losing communication for 1xchannel out of 9 channels (Always on CommonPLC as shown in attached). And this lost channel wakes up back once we deactivate wincc in any other winCC station.

All Terminal bus is connected via normal tcp/ip card and not via Siemens CP Card. If its not working. If 9th channel is working on none of the winCC stations i can clearly tell its a communication problem and recommend hardnet cards. But once we keep deactivate 1 WinCC station all are fine. So i think its from S7400 CPU, What is this problem and how can i fix that?

it sounds like there is a maximum number of connections of 8...

To be sure take a look in the technical data of your hardware.

I think your problem is at your PLC, not on the CP.

This S7400-H connected with 13 other S7300 CPU + 5 WinCC PC Stations (Single user projects) via IP. Communication Op they mean Operator panel? Problem appear when we try to add 1xS7300 CPU + 1xWinCC station to the system.

Total connection is 18 now. On working condition before its only 16. How it can work on 16 if maximum number of Op is 8? On H system capacity added up? 8+8=16 or Op you mean only WinCC stations?

I was looking in the WinCC flexible-help. There I see that there is a max. Number of connections of 8.

I was just searching for system boundary of WinCCflecible.

But you don´t have WinCCflexible but WinCC. Just take a look in the WinCC-help how the boundaries are.

sorry, I was looking again in the picture on the top of this Thread. In this one window the headline is "WinCC Channel Diagnosis". 

So I was thinking about that your problem maybe can occure from HMI...

The following is my opinion.

I thinck the OP menas HMI relevants. for exampe, WinCC, WinCC Flexible runtime, or other HMIs.

You use 9 channels on each WinCC, which means you have alreday been occupied 9 connectios per WinCC.

But the Maximum connections of the CPU for OP are 32 without message processing.

I think the communications are ok if you're using 3 WinCC single stations because the number of connections are 27 (9 connections x 3 WinCC Stations)

But If you add anothter WinCC Station, and then the number of connections are going to be 36... (9 connections x 4 WinCC stations)

I am wondering how you figure it out.

Do you install CP443-1 which is set multiplex mode ??
