Hi,

just tried to download "Hello World" to a IOT2020 using VS2017 ...

Building seems to be O.K. but gdbserver-error occurs.

Any clue on how to resolve this? 

Somebody has a Step-By-Step guide for properly setting up VS2017?

While working on that issue, I got the very same message, so maybe, this solution works for Visual Studio 2017 as well.

We had the same problem yesterday on VS2015.

We have two workstation with 2 IOT2040, one was working fine and the other not.

After closing the project, rebooting the iot2040, recreating the connection in the project, it started to work .

We don't really know what was really the problem or if it can happened again

I ran in the same problem on the machine which was working yesterday  :

- I created a new user and password and delete the old one on the IOT2040.

- I open VS2015, modify the connection and tried to run my program and I have the same message you show.

- I close VS2015, power off/on the IOT2040, reopen VS2015 and the problem is gone.

any clue how to tweak VS for more stability?

Powering the IOT OFF/ON every time for a download is not really cool, though it helps in the meantime.
